I love the material & cut of the Vera Walk Thru Jumpsuit, but the color wasn't nearly as vibrant as I expected it to be based on the photos. It's still a very nice piece, but not quite what I wanted it to be.
I liked having a hybrid dress/pantsuit… something different and unexpected for a black-tie event. The floral pattern is so pretty but it’s more muted in person than it is in the photos, and the train wraps around far enough that it obscures the legs unless you make it a point to stick your legs out (in photos). The train was more poufy than I thought it’d be and it overwhelmed my frame; I would say it’s not the most flattering silhouette for someone who’s short ( I’m 5’4”). I didn’t have time to get it altered so I used safety pins to move the train back from my hips a bit and it did help, but if I’d had time I would’ve had a seamstress actually take some of the fabric out of the train. The pockets were super helpful! I would probably purchase an outfit like this again, but more in advance so I could get it tailored to my exact proportions.
